The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, ensuring IFSR compliance in financial reporting, and leading key aspects of the month-end close process. This role prepares journal entries, reconciles accounts, and supports complex revenue recognition under the percentage-of-completion (POC) method. In addition, the Senior Accountant partners cross-functionally to deliver timely and accurate financial information and supports the Controller and broader team with ongoing process improvement initiatives.
This is an onsite position in San Diego, CA

Education / Work Experience
● Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in Accounting or related field.
● At least 5+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
● Strong knowledge of IFRS and revenue recognition, including percentage-of-completion (POC) methodologies.
● CPA license preferred, not required.
Required Skills
● Advanced Excel skills required (e.g. complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling).
● Excellent ERP software user and administration skills (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
● Must be highly detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
● Strong learning agility. Enjoys and excels in environments where they must tackle and solve new and increasingly complex challenges and issues.
● Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate, communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
● Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
● Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
● Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and explain problems, collect data and establish facts, and create a valid conclusion or resolution to problems.
● Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
