Responsibilities

→Build and modify responsive front-end features and pages as specified by the design team
→Design and implement APIs, and integrate third-party services (payments, booking, email marketing, and more) across our products
→Develop and maintain dynamic, interactive web applications across the full stack
→Update and ship requested changes to live sites, including pages, content, and images
→Test, debug, and continuously improve the design, performance, and functionality of our sites
→Write clear documentation for the features and systems you build
→Collaborate with designers and owners to turn ideas into working products
→Help maintain quality and consistency across all our web properties
→Build and integrate AI-powered features using large language model APIs (e.g. retrieval-augmented generation / RAG, smart search, automation)

Requirements

REQUIRED: Must currently reside in the Columbia, Missouri area — this position is onsite.
Working knowledge of JavaScript/React, Python/FastAPI, and SQL
Experience using Git
Hands-on experience building dynamic, interactive web applications
Ability to write clean, efficient, well-documented code with a focus on quality and maintainability
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze unfamiliar code and find practical, innovative solutions independently
Comfortable taking a feature or project from requirements through to delivery, with clear specifications and documentation
Experience with (or eagerness to learn) AWS products such as EC2 and RDS
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) for automated testing and deployment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with both technical and non-technical teammates and contribute to the team's growth
Preferred: exposure to AI/LLM tools and APIs (e.g. the Claude or OpenAI APIs, RAG, vector databases)
Authorized to work in the U.S.
