Food & Beverage Attendant

The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for cashier duties, food running, and bussing tables. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about providing excellent customer service.

• →Greet guests with a friendly demeanor as they approach the register.
• →Accurately ring up orders, process payments, and issue receipts using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• →Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment with precision.
• →Maintain knowledge of the menu, including pricing, daily specials, and promotions, to assist guests with their orders.
• →Suggest additional items or beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• →Count & balance cash registers at start & end of shift.
• →Assist kitchen staff by running food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
• →Ensure that all food items are delivered to the correct table and are presented neatly.
• →Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding any special requests or dietary restrictions.
• →Clear tables promptly after guests have finished their meals, ensuring that the dining area remains clean and inviting.
• →Wipe down tables, replace utensils and napkins, and reset tables for the next guests.
• →Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping floors and organizing chairs.
• →Support the team in maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant, including sanitizing surfaces and restocking stations as needed.
• →Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with a positive and professional attitude.
• →Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
• →Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• →Adhere to all Homewood policies and procedures.
• →Other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and composure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with team members.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-moving environment with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to step into multiple roles as needed.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt quickly based on business levels.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a strong work ethic.
• Current Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date).

• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required based on business demand.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during high-volume service periods.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, standing and walking for extended periods, and lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds.
