Costaterra is a private members only residential community in Comporta – Portugal. It combines luxury living with top-tier hospitality, offering incredible dining, a world-class golf course, spa services, outdoor pursuits, and immersive local experiences.

We are looking for a talented MEP Design Manager to join our team! In this role, you’ll oversee and validate all MEP design work produced by external consultants, ensuring full coordination with architecture, structure, interiors, landscape, and infrastructure teams. You’ll act as the project’s technical authority—reviewing designs, identifying potential risks, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that every MEP system meets performance expectations, operational needs, local regulations, and budget requirements.

• →Oversee and review all MEP designs produced by external consultants, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and utility authorities.
• →Coordinate MEP design with architecture, structure, interiors, landscape, and infrastructure to ensure full integration and avoid clashes.
• →Lead design coordination workshops and review BIM models to resolve technical issues.
• →Visit the construction site regularly to verify compliance with design intent, assess installation quality, and provide quick solutions to unforeseen challenges.
• →Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and support testing and commissioning activities.
• →Identify risks early, support value‑engineering decisions, and ensure design solutions meet performance, cost, and operational requirements.
• →Maintain design logs, risk registers, and provide clear progress updates to the Project Director or Engineering Director.

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–15+ years of experience in MEP design management, including client‑side or PMC exposure.
• Strong technical knowledge across MEP systems for residential, hospitality, amenities, and infrastructure projects.
• Experience with consultant management, multidisciplinary coordination, and BIM processes.
• Familiarity with Portuguese codes and authority requirements is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, excellent communication skills, and confidence leading technical discussions.
• High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple design packages simultaneously.
