Senior Tax Manager

District Partners has been engaged by a rapidly growing, private equity-backed SaaS company experiencing significant expansion through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. As the organization continues to scale, they are seeking a Tax Manager to build and enhance the company's tax function while partnering closely with Finance and executive leadership.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage the company's federal, state, local, and international tax compliance processes.
- →Review and coordinate preparation of federal and state income tax returns with external tax advisors.
- →Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740.
- →Oversee sales and use tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- →Manage state and local tax (SALT) filings and nexus analysis.
- →Support tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's effective tax rate.
- →Partner with Finance during the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- →Assist with tax implications related to acquisitions, integrations, and legal entity restructuring.
- →Coordinate responses for federal, state, and local tax audits.
- →Evaluate changes in tax legislation and assess impacts on the business.
- →Develop scalable tax processes, documentation, and internal controls.
- →Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Payroll, and external advisors on cross-functional initiatives.
- →Support annual financial statement audits and tax-related disclosures.
- →Assist with special projects including international expansion, transfer pricing, and transaction-related tax matters as the company grows.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required (or CPA actively maintained)
- 6–10+ years of progressive tax experience
- Combination of Big 4/Public Accounting and industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience with ASC 740 tax provision
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local taxation
- Experience supporting high-growth SaaS, software, or technology companies preferred
- Experience in a private equity-backed environment highly preferred
- Familiarity with multi-state operations and nexus requirements
- Experience working with external tax firms and auditors
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills

- Base Salary: $140,000–$180,000 (depending on experience)
