Merchant Experience New Verticals Specialist

New Verticals is an evolving team at DoorDash that is part of the Merchant Experience Ops organization. The primary role of this team is the building and maintaining of Merchant catalogs on the DoorDash platform. These catalogs are important because they represent the merchant product offering to customers. This team supports various lines of business including DashMart, Convenience, Alcohol, Grocery, and Retail businesses. These categories are consistently changing which presents new challenges and opportunities to make an impact.  This team oversees numerous workflows and is a critical partner to Sales, Vendor Management, Strategy & Operations, Ads & Promos and other teams throughout the business. This role consistently works out of the following tools: JIRA, Google Sheets and Mode/Snowflake as well as internal DoorDash tools.  

As a MXO New Verticals Model Integrity Specialist at DoorDash, you will be responsible for one of the many processes owned by the department. Given the direct impact these processes have on both the Merchant and Customer it is critical that work meets a high quality bar. Thought partnership is expected and a key measure of the role is how you advance processes and adapt to the changing nature of the business. The role commonly works with large data sets which requires analytical skills and critical thinking.

This is an operations function so there are defined quality and output goals that must be accomplished in order to meet business SLAs. This role requires an operator that is detail oriented and a problem solver. You will report directly into the MXO New Verticals Model Integrity Supervisor. This role will be hybrid, with regular in-office days in our [CDMX] office. 

• Perform QA and maintain strong attention to detail across workflows.
• Work with team members to ensure the success of the team on a peer level as well as cross functionally with other teams and leadership
• Identify efficiency opportunities within established processes and communicate improvements to your supervisor.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure consistent quality and output.
• Adapt to new tools and workflows while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
• Can edit/create SQL queries for validation and root cause analysis.
• Leverage AI and write prompts to solve issues experienced in the work
• Demonstrate accountability for individual performance metrics and continuous learning.
• Meet or exceed metric expectations 
• Learn and pivot between a variety of workflows in order to accomplish the greater business goals

• You demonstrate analytical depth, and can clearly communicate in both a verbal and written format to non subject matter experts.
• You exhibit foundational leadership behaviors that allow continuous building of the leadership bench.
• You bring Basic SQL querying skills and can quickly learn the data structure the process operates within
• Basic Artificial Intelligence querying skills, prompt writing tactics, understanding of AI limitations and can tactfully identify hallucinations
• Identify trends and patterns within datasets to increase efficiency and improve processes
• You are operations-inspired and always look for ways to improve the quality of service
• You are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment 
• You have previous experience and a proficient understanding of Google Sheets
• You can easily shift between multiple projects and maintain a precise detail oriented approach
