Software Engineer Intern (Data Engineering)

As a Software Engineer Intern (Data Engineering), you'll join the Commodities trading group to build data pipelines for the ingestion and analysis of datasets. The role entails working closely with senior data engineers and key stakeholders across both greenfield and established projects. It will be focused on building efficient and resilient data pipelines to get valuable data to our traders, with opportunities to help design and build the core data infrastructure, frameworks and services used across the group as your experience grows. While your days will have you engrossed with complex data-related challenges, your evenings will be spent exploring the city with organized social events to truly discover what it is like to live and work in Singapore.

• Build and operate reliable Python data pipelines that ingest structured and unstructured data for trading, research and analytics
• Alongside core data ingestion and support work, contribute to complementary engineering initiatives across areas such as data quality, data modelling, databases and Kubernetes.
• Work directly with researchers to understand their needs and develop bespoke data and analysis solutions
• Contribute to the design and evolution of both legacy and greenfield systems within a small team of experienced engineers

• Are pursuing a bachelor’s in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, mathematics or any related science discipline and have an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
• Knowledge and experience with:
  • Relational databases (postgres preferred)
  • Pandas
  • Data engineering
• Exhibit excellent software development skills in Python and a deep curiosity to learn and absorb new technologies quickly
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
