It is placed within several (agile) projects and focused on translating input and requirements from Research & Development into structured information. You help set future data standards. This position can be filled either on a full-time basis for 5 months or part-time (20 hours per week) for 10 months.
This position is part of the Solutions business (Solco) within Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH). This is one of the two standalone entities to be created from ANH, as part of the divestment to CVC Capital.
Your responsibilities
* Review existing animal trial datasets to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency in line with internal standards
* Identify data quality issues and work with scientist and data managers to support clarification, correction and documentation
* Contribute to the improvement of data dictionaries, helping define and refine variables, terminology and metadata used across animal trials
* Support the maintenance and updating of SOPs related to experimental procedures and data handling
you bring:
* enrolment at a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in Life Sciences (e.g., Animal Production, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Sciences) or Information Technology/Data Management.
* a good understanding of data management principles, data quality standards, and data governance practices.
* strong interest in data harmonization, controlled vocabularies, common terminologies, and FAIR data principles.
* familiarity with animal trial, research, or clinical trial data is an advantage.
* advanced Microsoft Excel skills; basic knowledge of SQL and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python or R) is beneficial.
We offer
* Work alongside scientists and data managers to see how animal trials are designed, conducted, and reviewed using transparent, standardized processes aligned with strict ethical guidelines
* Understand the science behind animal nutrition and health, and how high‑quality experimental data translates into better feed solutions, animal welfare, and productivity
* Build highly valued skills in data management and governance — hands‑on experience that future employers actively look for and respect
* Be part of a strong R&D community in Austria, working with 100+ experts across disciplines to take ideas from experimental data all the way to finished products
* We are legally obliged to inform you that, according to the applicable collective agreement, the salary for this position is €2,156 gross per month.
