Location: Long Island City, NY

Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail and consistently follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure high-quality, reproducible data
* Maintain curiosity and a continuous learning mindset, actively exploring new automation systems and assay technologies
* Communicate clearly, proactively, and effectively with team members, especially when identifying challenges or potential issues
* Take full ownership of assigned work, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and timely completion of tasks
* Apply strong organizational skills to manage priorities efficiently and maintain reliability in deliverables
* Collaborate effectively within a team environment, contributing ideas and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

You Bring:
* Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or a related field
* Up to 2 years of hands-on experience with cell-based assays
* Experience with robotic/automated lab equipment or within ingredients-focused environment desirable
* A strong sense of ownership—take initiative, stay organized, and deliver high-quality work consistently
* Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies, especially automation and assay workflows
* Attention to detail and discipline in following SOPs and documenting results accurately
* A collaborative mindset—working closely with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams
* Clear communication and willingness to speak up when something doesn’t look right
* An interest in applying science to create meaningful, real-world impact in sensory and consumer products
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided. Salary $55,000-$70,000.
In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
