Logistics Operator Freeport, TX The Logistics Operator will be responsible for finished product packaging including proper labeling and record keeping to comply with cGMP and API ICHQ7a standards. They will maintain the packaging areas in compliance with housekeeping and sanitation standards, be responsible for material movements throughout the site, primarily through forklift operation, conducting inspections on equipment and will also be responsible for managing waste areas. Key Responsiblities: * Prepares packaging equipment and self for operation, including required clothing, completion of paperwork and collection of labels to be used. * Packages final product to specified weights (as directed by the Production Supervisor or her designee). Samples final product for lab analysis. * Crimps lids, inert drums, clean and inspects final drums, labels drums, stacks and palletizes drums, shrink wraps drums / pallets, loads drums on refrigerated trailer. Monitors trailers for temperature and cleanliness. * Completes final drumming records for shipping documentation and receives shipping documentation (i.e. drumming records, shipping summary, bill of lading, etc.) and seals shipping container. Ensures shipping documentation submitted to appropriate personnel. Completes log book entries in compliance with site procedures. * Documents and reports any quality deviations for follow up by the Quality Process Coordinator. * Cleans and maintains packaging and warehousing areas according to cGMP requirements and DSM zoning guidelines. * Inspects equipment and identifies repairs needed. The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location.
