About us:

The Earthshot Prize is the world's most prestigious environmental Prize. We exist because 2030 is a critical deadline for our planet, and we're here to celebrate groundbreaking leadership in environmental action, activate the people who can back it, and inspire optimism across the globe. Our Storytelling team brings this mission to life, sharing the stories of the Prize and our Finalists across media, TV, social, digital, OOH and beyond. We're an ambitious team finding every possible way to tell the biggest story in the world, and to bring urgent optimism to a global audience.
Our 2026 Summit & Awards Night in Mumbai is in November and we’re looking to bolster our core team to deliver this.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, detail-driven content leader to head up our London-based content team during the most important period of our year. While our Head of Content leads delivery of the Summit and Awards on the ground in Mumbai, this person will be their counterpart in London – keeping content moving, upholding the quality of everything we publish, and giving the team the direction and support it needs to deliver.

Key Responsibilities:

 Cross-Timezone Coordination:

  • Hold daily huddles with the Head of Content in Mumbai to review priorities, agree the day’s plan and delegate tasks across the London team
  • Own the handover of work between the India and UK timezones, ensuring work in progress is clearly documented, tracked and picked up promptly.
  • Act as the London-based decision-maker, escalating where appropriate and keeping them briefed on progress, risks and changes to plan
  • Maintain a clear, shared view of the content plan, approvals and deadlines across both teams

Quality Control and Brand Consistency:

  • Act as final QA on all content produced during the Summit and Awards period – across social media, website, email and wider digital – before it goes live
  • Review every piece of content with a meticulous eye for spelling, grammar, punctuation, typos and accuracy
  • Ensure all content adheres to The Earthshot Prize brand guidelines, tone of voice and visual identity, and is consistent across every channel
  • Check names, titles, figures and Finalist details, ensuring our Finalists, Winners, partners and talent are represented accurately and respectfully

 Team Management:

  • Serve as the point person and lead for the London team, setting daily priorities and supporting each team member to deliver
  • Manage the team’s delivery across content production, website, email and social media, ensuring deadlines are met to the highest standard
  • Support and manage core team members and freelancers in London, keeping focus, morale and wellbeing high during an intense delivery period

Content Production and Delivery:

  • Brief and manage video and design production for use across all our channels – website, email and social media – working with our Creative team, including graphic designers and video editors, and any freelance support
  • Own the video and design pipeline from brief to final sign-off, managing feedback rounds and ensuring assets are delivered on time and in the right formats and specifications for each channel
  • Ensure video and design assets are planned and versioned for use across channels, so that every asset works as hard as possible across website, email and social media
  • Work with the Social Media Manager to deliver the content calendar across our owned channels (including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and LinkedIn)
  • Work with the Digital Manager to deliver website updates and eNews campaigns, ensuring they are accurate, timely and aligned with social and press activity
  • Turn around fast-moving, reactive content from the ground in Mumbai, ensuring it is polished and published at pace without compromising quality

Candidate Criteria:

  • 10+ years of experience in social media marketing and content production, either in-house or at an agency
  • An exceptional, meticulous eye for detail, with impeccable spelling, grammar and proofreading skills
  • Proven experience as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency of tone of voice, messaging and visual identity across channels
  • Experience briefing and managing video and design production, with a strong creative eye and an understanding of channel-specific formats
  • Experience working with distributed teams across timezones, with excellent organisation and handover discipline
  • Calm under pressure, able to prioritise and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, live-event environment
  • Strong people management skills, supporting teams to deliver while holding them to account on deadlines and quality
  • Experience delivering content around major live events, awards or global campaigns is highly desirable
  • Flexibility to work hours that overlap with India Standard Time, including early starts and later evenings, during the delivery period
  • Availability to work the weekend of 14–15 November and extended hours on 16-17 November
