Own and drive the operational excellence of EBANX’s payment processing ecosystem in Mexico. In this role, you will combine strong analytical thinking, technical expertise, and data-driven decision-making to ensure our payment operations are not only stable, but a true competitive advantage.
You will act as a key technical and analytical reference, leveraging data, automation, and advanced analytics to continuously improve performance, optimize payment flows, and enhance the merchant experience.
• Operational & Performance Ownership
Own the end-to-end operational health of key payment partners in Mexico, focusing on Cards and Alternative Payment Methods. Monitor and analyze KPIs such as approval rates, latency, transaction quality, settlement accuracy, and partner performance.
• Technical & Analytical Point of Contact
Act as the main interface between EBANX and partner technical teams, supporting integrations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization with a strong technical and data-oriented mindset.
• Data-Driven Optimization
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities. Propose and implement improvements in payment flows, routing logic, retries, and operational processes to increase approval rates and efficiency.
• Advanced Analytics & AI (Plus)
Apply (or support the application of) advanced analytics, automation, or AI-driven approaches to improve payment performance, anomaly detection, fraud signals, and operational efficiency.
• Partner Performance & Continuous Improvement
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes with partners and internal teams, ensuring structured follow-ups and implementation of preventive actions based on data insights.
• KPI Ownership & Data Visualization
Define, track, and own key operational KPIs. Work closely with Data teams to build dashboards, automate reporting, and deliver clear data visualizations to support decision-making.
• Strategic Insights & Business Intelligence
Translate operational and performance data into actionable insights for Product, Finance, Country Growth, and Commercial teams, influencing strategy, pricing, and partner decisions.
• BEAT Report & Executive Communication
Lead the creation and presentation of the BEAT (Benchmark, Evaluation, Action, Tracking) report, providing senior leadership with a clear, data-backed view of operational performance and improvement plans.
• Product & Payment Optimization Support
Act as a subject matter expert for new payment methods, features, and partner initiatives in Mexico, assessing technical feasibility, operational impact, and scalability while supporting local growth objectives.
Must-haves to shine in this role
- Strong experience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services (cards, wallets, acquiring, or payment providers).
- Solid analytical and technical background, with experience working with data (SQL, Excel, BI tools, or similar).
- Experience monitoring and improving KPIs and operational performance.
- Ability to work closely with technical teams (Engineering, Product, APIs).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive issue resolution in complex environments.
- Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
- Advanced English communication skills.
Bonus points if you have
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics applied to payments or operations.
- Knowledge of payment optimization strategies (authorization, routing, retries, tokenization, etc.).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Background in automation or scripting (Python or similar).
- Relationship management with acquirers, issuers, schemes, and payment partners, acting as a key stakeholder to drive performance, operational excellence, and strategic initiatives.
