Lightcast is seeking a collaborative, growth-oriented Senior Vice President of Financial Operations with a strong FP&A / Accounting / Sales Operations background and deep understanding of customer retention to help shape the financial future of a $100M+ global workforce data business.
This leader will oversee FP&A, Accounting, and Sales Operations. The leader will own financial reporting, accounting oversight, cash management, and operational rigor. They will build financial discipline, actionable management reporting, and scalable processes and systems that support growth. Reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with the Executive Leadership Team, this executive will drive operational excellence, strengthen decision-making, and create long-term enterprise value while helping Lightcast continue to deliver exceptional value to customers.
Serve as a strategic financial partner to the Executive Leadership Team on company strategy, resource allocation, performance optimization, and investment decisions.
Collaborate closely with Product, Technology, Revenue, Marketing, and HR leaders to ensure financial plans align with business priorities, market opportunities, and operational realities.
Bring financial clarity to decision-making through data-driven insights, pragmatic ROI analysis, performance measurement, customer profitability analysis, pricing strategy support, and evaluation of new product and go-to-market investments.
Lead, develop, mentor, and scale a high-performing organization while fostering a culture of trust, transparency, ownership, accountability, accuracy, and partnership.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the company through clear communication, sound judgment, and a balanced approach to risk, while developing scalable processes and systems that enhance speed, visibility, and operational effectiveness.
Partner with Professional Service teams on forecasting, capacity planning, and revenue delivery.
FP&A:
Oversee the development and evolution of Lightcast’s long-range financial plan, rolling forecasts, and FP&A capabilities, ensuring a high-accuracy, scalable planning engine grounded in data, scenario modeling, and actionable insights.
Translate complex financial information into clear, strategic transparency for leaders; evaluate performance against key business drivers; and proactively identify opportunities for efficiency, profitability, and growth at a granular level across the organization.
Produce predictable, rigorous, and insightful reporting that enables the Executive Leadership Team to lead with excellence and make informed decisions.
Accounting:
Oversee a disciplined Accounting function responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, while ensuring smooth and efficient execution of billing, collections, accounts payable and receivable, revenue recognition, and payroll integration.
Strengthen internal controls, risk management, compliance frameworks, and financial governance across global entities, maintaining financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
Lead cash flow forecasting and free cash flow improvement initiatives, balancing cost optimization with strategic investment in future growth through trusted collaboration with executive leaders.
Own enterprise-wide subscription and vendor spend, ensuring effective contract management, elimination of duplicate spend, and disciplined procurement practices.
Sales Operations:
Oversee the development of systems and data that prioritize simplicity and effectiveness, reducing redundancy and friction in the sales and renewal process.
Drive forward efforts to understand leading indicators and effectively report out to internal stakeholders on what they need to execute effectively.
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Finance, FP&A, Accounting, or related disciplines, with increasing responsibility for planning, analysis, and business performance.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required; MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant advanced credential preferred.
Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing finance organizations in growth-oriented SaaS, DaaS, technology, or similarly data-intensive businesses.
Strong FP&A expertise, including long-range planning, forecasting, scenario modeling, performance management, and translating complex financial information into actionable business insights.
Experience overseeing Accounting functions with a solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, audits, internal controls, and compliance.
Ability to navigate ERP and CRM platforms to source, validate, and analyze data in support of operational and financial decision-making.
Success operating as both a strategic leader and a hands-on executor.
Proven ability to partner effectively with executive leaders and cross-functional teams to drive strategic decision-making, resource allocation, and operational excellence.
Demonstrated experience helping businesses understand, measure, resource, and improve customer retention and long-term customer value.
Track record of building scalable financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities that support growth, accountability, and informed decision-making.
Strong leadership presence, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach that builds trust and alignment across the organization.
