Are you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with computers? Element is seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Huntsville laboratory team.
This role offers the opportunity to build a specialized skillset in calibration, testing, and quality systems while working in a clean, laboratory-based environment.
Whether you're an experienced technician or someone with strong technical aptitude looking to learn a new trade, we provide the training and support needed for long-term success. According to the hiring manager, character, reliability, basic computer proficiency, and willingness to learn are often more important than extensive industry experience.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform simple and complex equipment calibrations
- →Verify calibration certifications and documentation
- →Maintain and troubleshoot test and measurement equipment
- →Support corrective actions for out-of-tolerance conditions
- →Utilize calibration software and diagnostic tools
- →Assist laboratory personnel with calibration-related inquiries
- →Track results and maintain accurate records
- →Follow established quality and calibration standards
- →Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
- →Perform additional duties as assigned by the Calibration Supervisor
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma, technical school certificate, or equivalent experience
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice to Have

- Experience interpreting calibration procedures and requirements
- Test equipment maintenance experience
- Familiarity with statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and measurement uncertainty
- Knowledge of quality systems and industry standards such as:
- ISO/IEC 17025
- ISO 9001
- AS9100
- NIST
- ANSI/NCSL Z540-1
