Floater II

A Floater II at our Lennox AES location in Tallassee, AL is an advanced manufacturing team member responsible for supporting operations across multiple departments, including assembly, machine operation, material handling, teardown, refrigerant recovery, and recycling. This role requires a high degree of versatility, technical proficiency, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The Floater II serves as a cross-functional resource supporting production goals, quality standards, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.

• Perform assembly operations following work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and production specifications.
• Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on assigned production equipment and machinery.
• Operate advanced equipment, including forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Load, unload, stage, organize, and transport materials to support production and inventory requirements.
• Perform teardown of HVAC and refrigeration units for component recovery, recycling, and disposal.
• Recover refrigerants using approved equipment in compliance with EPA regulations and company procedures.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, and refrigerant recovery records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while adhering to all company safety policies.
• Cross-train and provide support in multiple departments as needed to meet production goals.
• Assist in training and mentoring Floater I employees and other entry-level team members.
• Communicate effectively with team regarding production, safety, and operational concerns.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other assigned production equipment.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to perform assembly, machine operation, material handling, teardown, and refrigerant recovery tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to train and assist Floater I employees and other entry-level team members.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and move moderate to heavy objects.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, assembly, machine operation, and/or fabrication experience required.
• Minimum 6 months of internal experience or 1 year of relevant external experience.
• Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and advanced manufacturing equipment.
• Forklift certification.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
