ATE - VP of Mobile Operations

At Automotive Technology Experts (ATE), we understand the importance of providing fast and accurate vehicle diagnostic scanning and calibration services.  We service hundreds of customers that rely on us to ensure that the repairs they have completed are safe and that the vehicle will operate as the manufacturer had intended.   

ATE was founded in 2019 to provide technological and electrical repair expertise in the collision industry that struggles to stay current with the rapidly changing technology in vehicles.  We employ technicians across the country. Our growth will continue as we add team members that strive to be the best, commit to taking care of our customers, and continue to train so that they can accomplish team goals and obtain career advancement opportunities.

• →Lead, mentor, and provide strategic direction to ATE Directors of Operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, accountability for performance, and the development of a positive, high-performing culture.
• →Drive strategic growth by identifying and developing new customers, markets, partnerships, and service offerings beyond ATE’s existing collision and post-calibration business, working cross-functionally to turn opportunities into sustainable revenue streams.
• →Oversee relationships with collision repair centers and external customers, ensuring consistent service quality, addressing operational challenges, and identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, retention, and influencing their total calibration and scan performance.
• →Own KPIs and financial performance across all ATE mobile business units while monitoring profitability, labor productivity, and operating expenses.
• →Prepare and present operational and financial performance updates, key business initiatives, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, including during Quarterly Business Reviews and other leadership meetings, as needed.
• →Implement strategies to achieve financial targets and support sustainable growth. Share ATE service performance with Crash Champions operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• →Develop, implement, and maintain the mobile customer service process (mobile playbook).
• →Partner with the Training department to develop and implement programs that enhance ATE Field Technician skills, technical knowledge, and service delivery.
• →Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and establish protocols to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment for field personnel.
• →Collaborate with other ATE departments, serving as a subject matter expert and representing mobile operations on company-wide initiatives and projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field.
• 5+ Years of progressive experience in collision repair, automotive services, ADAS, or a related industry, including significant experience leading multi-location or geographically dispersed operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing mid-level to senior leaders, including performance management, workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
• Proven experience managing operating budgets, revenue forecasts, and financial performance, with accountability for profitability and operational efficiency.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic operational plans that drive business growth, improve performance, and support organizational objectives.
• Strong knowledge of ADAS and automotive electrical services, including calibration, programming, diagnostics, and wire and connector repair.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage complex projects, and drive organizational change within a high-growth or rapidly evolving industry.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements relevant to mobile operations, automotive repair, or ADAS.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex operational, employee, and customer challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior and executive leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Exceptional professionalism with a passion for the industry and an unwavering commitment to operational excellence.
• 50% to 75% of overnight travel required, including air/ overnight travel.
• A safe driving record and a valid Driver’s License required
• Ability to work and stand for extended periods in automotive shop environments.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50

• Experience evaluating, selecting, and implementing scanning, calibration, and diagnostic tools and technologies.
