We’re seeking a Project Lead to join our Quality Field Services team and support the delivery of projects.
This is an entry-level opportunity with significant room to grow. You will support a project delivering fibre builds to rural communities across BC, working across pole loading analysis, quality reporting, project reporting, field support and rural pole-line data collection
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring work is delivered accurately and in line with established procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Support: Support project delivery activities and assist with quality project reporting.
- Pole Loading Analysis: Assist with pole loading analysis activities as part of rural fibre-build delivery.
- Field Support: Provide support to field activities and accompany field visits or travel for projects when required.
- Rural Pole-Line Data Collection: Support rural pole-line data collection activities for fibre infrastructure projects.
- Change Tracking: Maintain change tracking and help ensure project information is kept accurate and up to date.
- Process Improvement: Follow established procedures, contribute to improvements and help add to processes as the team continues to develop its ways of working.
- Digital Tools: Support the adoption of modern digital tools that improve field and project workflows.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, you will be:
- Building an understanding of telecom fundamentals
- Supporting a project independently as part of normal day-to-day delivery
- Following established procedures accurately and consistently
- Managing change tracking effectively
- Contributing to quality and project reporting
- Supporting field activities and rural pole-line data collection when required
- Identifying opportunities to improve and add to existing procedures
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Experience supporting field work or working in a utility, municipal or related environment would be highly valued.
- Project Delivery: Experience supporting or delivering projects, with responsibility for quality.
- Quality Focus: Comfortable working with quality-related processes, reporting and established procedures.
- Software Skills: Strong proficiency with spreadsheets is essential. Basic coding capability is also required.
- Digital Data: Experience with digital field-data collection, point-cloud collection or point-cloud quality control would be an asset.
- Travel: Comfortable accompanying field visits and travelling for projects when requested
