The Manager, Transportation and Logistics provides strategic leadership for Energy Vault’s end-to-end logistics function, with direct impact on delivery execution, cost efficiency, compliance, and scalable growth. The role ensures products and components move to the right locations at the right time while defining and continuously optimizing the total network cost of transportation and logistics.
Serving as the company’s key logistics subject matter expert, this position builds and manages critical partner relationships across the logistics ecosystem and provides guidance on import, export, customs, tariffs, legal, and HSE requirements to support compliant global operations. The role also influences broader business decisions by recommending sourcing and inventory strategies, advising product design teams on transportation cost optimization, and partnering with executive leadership on risk, capital spend, and organizational growth.

Define and implement a logistics strategy for the company that aligns the needs of internal stakeholders with project and customer requirements and maximizes the efficient movement of products and materials
Oversee the warehousing, inventory flow, and inbound and outbound transportation activities across domestic and international shipments
Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers and recommend optimal transport modes, routes, and performance metrics
Influence the product design and packaging to ensure transportation costs are minimized.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process.
Ensure compliance with transportation and trade requirements and maintain adherence to international trade regulations, tariffs, HTS classifications, and export requiremenets

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related; MS preferred.
7+ years of global transportation and logistics experience, preferably in industrial construction, utilities, energy, or similar.
Shrewd negotiation skills and keen ability to balance cost savings with relationship management.
Expert knowledge of technical and legal requirements associated with import and export regulations, globally, with specific experience in Australia, NA, Europe, the Middle East, and China. US Customs House Broker License preferred but not required.
Proven experience establishing, implementing, and managing a global transportation and logistics function.
Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
Stellar attention to detail.
Experience with cost modeling and project management.
Track record of building and improving upon processes that make sense.
Excellent oral and written communication, as well as emotional intelligence.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 40%.
