As a Preschool Student Transportation- Van Driver, you'll help preschool students get to and from school safely and on time in Watkins Glen. This role exists to keep routes consistent, support families, and meet all transportation safety requirements.

Key responsibilities:
- Operate a DOT-regulated vehicle and follow all federal, state, and local transportation laws
- Transport preschool students on assigned routes and schedules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain DOT logs and required documentation
- Ensure correct use of child safety restraints
- Supervise students during loading and unloading
- Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and school administration
- Report incidents, safety concerns, or maintenance needs promptly

Required qualifications:
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean driving record

Your day runs Monday-Friday during daytime hours. You start by checking your schedule and getting your vehicle ready for the route. Pick-ups and drop-offs are steady and structured, with a focus on calm, safe transitions for preschoolers. You'll stay punctual, keep a professional presence, and work closely with school staff and families to keep communication clear. Between runs, you'll handle routine paperwork and stay ready for any updates to timing or locations. This is part-time and per diem work, paid at $19-$21 per hour.

You must be able to pass a Federal DOT Pre Employment Drug Test and Pre-Employment DOT Physical (Note THC is not allowed for Federal DOT Drug Tests).
