Senior Citrix Systems Engineer

VDI Architecture & Design

• Implement and Support enterprise-scale Citrix and VMware Horizon environments.
• Architect secure and scalable VDI platforms supporting thousands of global users.
• Evaluate infrastructure requirements including compute, storage, network, and security.
• Develop high availability, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.

Citrix Administration

• Manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) and Citrix Cloud environments.
• Configure and maintain:
• Delivery Controllers
• Citrix StoreFront
• Citrix Gateway / NetScaler
• Citrix Director & Studio
• Citrix FAS
• Manage Machine Creation Services (MCS) and Provisioning Services (PVS).
• Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting.

VMware Horizon Administration

• Manage VMware Horizon environments including:
• Horizon Connection Servers
• Unified Access Gateway (UAG)
• Instant Clone & Linked Clone environments
• App Volumes and Dynamic Environment Manager
• Monitor and optimize VDI performance and capacity.

End User Computing (EUC) Operations

• Ensure optimal user experience for remote and on-prem users.
• Manage gold images, application delivery, and patching cycles.
• Support Windows 10 / Windows 11 VDI environments.
• Work closely with Service Desk and Infrastructure teams.

Security & Compliance

• Implement security best practices including:
• Multi-Factor Authentication
• Secure remote access
• Endpoint security integration
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor VDI environments using tools such as:
• Citrix Director
• ControlUp
• VMware vRealize Operations
• Perform root cause analysis for performance and connectivity issues.

Automation & Optimization

• Automate deployment and maintenance using PowerShell, scripting, or orchestration tools.
• Continuously improve VDI efficiency and reduce operational overhead.

• 5+ years working with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• 5+ years working with VMware Horizon
