Work Schedule: Sunday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST and Monday–Friday 11:00 AM–7:30 PM CST, with a regularly scheduled day off each week on either Wednesday or Thursday (selected and maintained consistently).

 

What You'll Be Doing:
The Admissions Coordinator plays a critical role in optimizing census growth and facilitating seamless patient access to services. This role coordinates the admissions process, ensuring accurate insurance verification, financial clearance, and completion of required documentation, while collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure appropriate patient flow and access to care. The Admissions Coordinator delivers a supportive, patient-centered experience pre-admission, while maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. If working in Denver, this role is hybrid. Otherwise, this is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Admission Coordination- Manage referrals through admission, including internal step movements; coordinate admission logistics, including scheduling and setting up transportation, as needed; communicate admission decisions and next steps to patients, families, referral sources, and outpatient providers with professionalism and empathy; support with completion of admissions paperwork and pre-arrival documents; educate patients and families regarding treatment programs, policies and expectations; use motivational interviewing and other strategies to support high conversion rates and improve access to care; provide compassionate support throughout the admissions process, troubleshooting barriers that may delay admission.
  • Insurance Verification & Financial Clearance- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits and authorization requirements; collaborate with utilization review and the business office to ensure financial clearance; clearly and confidently communicate patient financial responsibilities, including deductibles, copays, out-of-pocket costs and initial payment expectations to patients; relay status updates related to SCA/TE negotiations and support appeals, as appropriate; arrange payment plans and support financial assistance requests as necessary.
  • Census & Patient Flow Management- Responsible for optimizing patient census utilization and reducing admission leakage; maintain accurate waitlists; coordinate admissions based on clinical appropriateness and availability; demonstrate thorough knowledge of census management and patient flow processes.
  • Documentation and Compliance- Maintain timely, accurate and organized documentation; conduct timely follow up on pending items; ensure appropriate financial documentation; ensure all required documentation is accurately completed prior to patient admission, focusing on achieving a high pre-admission form completion rate; adhere to all regulatory, compliance and confidentiality standards.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration- Work closely with clinical teams, utilization review, business office, and other departments to ensure streamlined access to care, minimizing barriers; participate in census management discussions, as appropriate; escalate urgent concerns and barriers to leadership.
  • Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology or any related field within human services. (REQUIRED)
  • Graduate Degree in Social Work, Psychology or any related field within human services (PREFERRED)

This position is posted as remote; however, per company policy, candidates residing within a 35‑mile radius of ZIP code 80230 will be required to follow a hybrid schedule, even if they applied to the remote posting.
  • Remote: Mondays and Fridays
  • On-site in our Denver Office: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

 

The compensation range for this position is based upon candidate experience and market expectations. 

Colorado pay range
$22$28 USD
