- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
- Display compassion and patience toward clients
- Answer incoming phone calls from clients, veterinarians, and employees
- Greet clients and pets upon arrival
- Handle emergency situations efficiently and calmly
- Present billing estimates to clients and collect payment for bills
- Admit and discharge animal patients
- Provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of their pet and/or wait time
- Document phone conversations in the electronic system
- Maintain and file patient records and complete all necessary paperwork
- Enter patient information into the company electronic system
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces
- Complete other tasks assigned by your supervisor
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience as a Client Administrator, Receptionist, or in a customer service related job
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to multitask
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
Preferred:
- Familiarity with popular breeds of dogs and cats
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terms
- Education or experience in the veterinary field
- Ability to work various shifts, including all major holidays
