Farm Store Associate

You will be working for a company rooted in the cooperative world, with history dating back to 1933, operating in the divisions of Agronomy, Energy, Animal Health and Farm Supplies. EverGRO is hiring a part-time Farm Store Associate in Upperville to support customers and keep the store running smoothly during busy hours.

Key responsibilities include:
- Assist customers with product questions and solutions
- Run the register and handle checkout, exchanges, and returns
- Stock shelves, replenish merchandise, and support inventory counts
- Load/unload deliveries and customer purchases; operate a forklift as needed
- Fill propane cylinders
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe store/warehouse

Required qualifications/skills:
- No previous experience required; agriculture interests (horses, cattle, gardening, plants, small animals) are a plus
- Willing and able to operate a forklift, lift product, and work indoors and outdoors
- Valid Driver’s License
- Availability to work 3–4 days/week during store hours; preference for closing shifts and rotating Saturdays

You’ll rotate between the sales floor and warehouse based on customer traffic. Early in the shift, you may greet regulars, answer quick questions, and keep product faced and organized. As the day picks up, you’ll move between the counter and the loading area, switching gears as customers need help getting feed, fencing, or supplies to their vehicles. You’ll also spend time checking stock levels, straightening high-traffic areas, and keeping walkways clear. Some tasks take you outside, so expect changing weather and a steady pace. Closing shifts focus on resetting the store, tidying the warehouse, and making sure the next day starts clean and safe.
