About the Role

The Warehouse Supervisor at Exalta is an experienced operational leader responsible for driving immediate and measurable improvements across the core functions of Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Management. Warehouse execution will drive the cadence by supporting medical device manufacturing and packaging in a fast-paced environment. This role is designed for a professional with a proven background in warehouse leadership, process optimization, and operational problem-solving who can quickly assess daily barriers and implement corrective actions that enhance efficiency, inventory accuracy, shipping performance, and standardize organization.

This individual will be expected to take ownership of critical warehouse functions, including resolving inventory discrepancies, correcting receiving barriers, improving shipment accuracy, and strengthening overall material flow throughout the organization. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee warehouse personnel while collaborating cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Development. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of Operations and work closely with the Logistics Supervisor to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence for all packaging operations. Success in this role requires hands-on leadership, tactical critical thinking, strategic planning, and the ability to immediately apply prior industry experience to strengthen Exalta’s warehouse infrastructure and support business growth. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of shipping, receiving, or inventory management experience in a distribution or fulfillment warehouse environment.
  • Minimum of 3+ years in a warehouse leadership, supervisory, or management role.
  • Proven experience investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and receiving challenges.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems, inventory control methodologies, and warehouse process improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a regulated manufacturing, medical device, or high-compliance environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs, cycle count accuracy, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards, warehouse safety protocols, and quality system requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • Experience within medical devices, lot-controlled inventory, traceable medical grade raw material, or highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Proficiency with Epicor Kinetic or similar Enterprise Resource Planning systems, UPS WorldShip, and FedEx Ship Manager.
  • Trackwise QMS or similar Quality Management Systems is a plus.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications.
  • Experience implementing warehouse process improvements that significantly improved operational accuracy or efficiency.
  • Strong background in material handling, inventory control, and shipping compliance. (international shipping and import/export compliance experience is a plus)
  • Proven ability to assess operational gaps and implement sustainable process improvements to align with company growth.
  • Experience with overseeing GDP adherence and ensuring Good Documentation Practices are upheld.
  • Experience with writing or updating process documenation and success riving Change Controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all warehouse functions including receiving, inventory management, material handling, shipping, and order accuracy.
  • Immediately assess and improve warehouse processes related to receiving delays, shipping errors, inventory discrepancies, and workflow inefficiencies.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory inaccuracies and implement corrective actions to improve system, physical inventory, and documentation alignment.
  • Improve shipping performance through process standardization, quality checks, and accountability measures.
  • Resolve receiving issues rapidly to prevent production delays and material shortages.
  • Develop and enforce warehouse SOPs, process controls, and best practices aligned with Exalta’s operational goals.
  • Manage, mentor, and hold warehouse personnel accountable to performance, safety, and quality expectations.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to optimize material movement, inventory accuracy, and stockout prevention.
  • Working with the Finance Department, oversee cycle count programs, inventory audit support, and discrepancy investigations.
  • Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics including receiving accuracy, shipping accuracy, inventory integrity, and aging WIP.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings, and operational scalability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.

The Warehouse Supervisor must possess advanced leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to effectively oversee warehouse personnel while driving accountability, productivity, and operational excellence. Strong problem-solving skills and root cause investigation experience are essential for quickly identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies, receiving challenges, and shipping inefficiencies. This role requires deep expertise in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse best practices, along with strong proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and data analysis to support accurate inventory management and performance tracking. A highly organized mindset with a focus on process improvement is critical, as this individual will be expected to assess operational gaps and implement sustainable corrective actions. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively with Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S +safety, and continuous improvement methodologies is strongly preferred to support ongoing departmental optimization. Additionally, the ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, focused on operational accuracy, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-expectation manufacturing environment.
