Role Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage transportation logistics, coordinate shipments, and maintain accurate documentation. This role involves handling global freight operations, including ocean, ground, and intermodal transport, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage shipments from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Prepare and proof export documentation, including invoices, certificates of origin, packing lists, customs forms, and loading instructions.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing daily updates on truck locations, reefer temperatures, and border crossings.
- Review and process supplier and freight invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the system.
- Maintain internal shipping logs and update shipment status using Excel and other tracking systems.
- Organize and manage logistics documentation, ensuring all records (physical and electronic) are properly maintained.
- Negotiate rates and manage relationships with carriers, brokers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations for domestic, cross-border, and international shipments.
- Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders via email and phone.
- Support internal teams, including trading, finance, and operations, with logistics-related inquiries.
- Resolve transportation and delivery issues, taking corrective action to minimize disruptions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
- Degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, International Transportation & Customs, or a related field.
- Experience with importing goods via ocean freight.
- Mandarin or Cantonese strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with logistics tracking systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and carriers.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience securing rates and managing vendor relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- This position is based in a professional office setting, with work primarily performed at a desk using a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment.

The annual base salary for this role is expected to fall between $60,000 and $80,000.
