We're looking for a Direct Support Specialist to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • →Assist 4 individuals in Independent Living (all live in their own apartments). DSS will be expected to attend scheduled visits with the individuals. Visits may include any of the following requirements:
  • →Assist people served in the handling of money and finances.
  • →Provide transportation and assist people served with accessing services in the community.
  • →Assist people served with general housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and laundry.
  • →Escort individuals to medical, dental, or therapy appointments and assist them in communicating with healthcare providers.
  • →Provide medication monitoring  and/or administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • →Maintain accurate, daily logs of shifts, tracking progress toward goals outlined in the individual’s Individualized Service Plan.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience in a related field
