The Payroll Associate ensures timely and accurate payroll processing and assists with payroll-related reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

→Process semi-monthly payroll for U.S. (multi-state), Canada, and international employees, ensuring compliance with country, federal, and state regulations.
→Review and verify timesheets, earnings, and deductions.
→Respond to and support employees on payroll inquiries, providing clear explanations and resolving issues promptly.

→Collaborate with the HR department to process new hires, terminations, and compensation adjustments.
→Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy.

→Prepare payroll reconciliations for benefits.
→Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
→Assist with special payroll projects, including year-end reporting, system upgrades, and process improvements.
→Prepare month-end reconciliations of payroll-related general ledger accounts in our accounting system to the payroll system.
→Identify and explain variances in payroll accounts month to month & quarter to quarter
→Responsible for keeping payroll policies and flowcharts current
→Generate and analyze payroll reports to support finance, tax filings, and compliance audits.
→Lead in year-end payroll activities, including the preparation and distribution of W-2s or other tax forms as well as year-end reconciliations.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or 2+ years of payroll experience.
Working knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Experience with payroll systems such as UKG.
Experience processing multi-state, Canadian, or international payroll is a plus.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.
In-depth understanding of payroll processes.
Ability to process accurate data while meeting deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, HR, Finance, and external agencies.
Strong Excel skills.

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 + bonus + benefits
