Sit-down Forklift Operator - 1st and 3rd shifts

The Sit-down Forklift Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing environment by efficiently and safely operating sit-down forklifts to move, load, and unload materials throughout the facility. This position ensures the timely and accurate transportation of raw materials, components, and finished products to support production schedules and inventory management. The operator is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols and company policies. Collaboration with warehouse staff, production teams, and supervisors is essential to optimize workflow and address any logistical challenges. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the smooth operation of manufacturing processes and the achievement of organizational productivity goals.

• Valid forklift operator certification or license as required by OSHA regulations.
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating sit-down forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Ability to read and understand safety instructions, load charts, and operational manuals.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive lifting, standing, and operating machinery for extended periods.
• Basic communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors.

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of production processes.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
• Additional certifications related to material handling or safety training.
• Demonstrated ability to work flexible shifts, including 1st and 3rd shifts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.

• →Operate sit-down forklifts to transport materials between storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks.
• →Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
• →Inspect forklifts daily to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• →Maintain accurate records of materials moved and assist with inventory counts as needed.
• →Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
