~1 min readThe Advanced Practice Provider is a faculty member credentialed and privileged to serve as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. This role is aligned with the OHSU Dept of Pediatrics mission of clinical, advocacy, research, and educational excellence.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide excellent clinical care.
- Work to ensure a smooth transition of patient care and education between inpatient and outpatient care
- Conduct screening, diagnosis, and medical management
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in Epic
- Communicate to all referring providers and primary care practitioners as needed
- Participate in patient and family education in both the inpatient and outpatient setting
- Clarify the medical plan of care and assist the team to assure all communication loops are closed
- Provide telephone advice and follow-up phone calls as needed regarding hospitalization, clinic visits, hospice, and community care
Requirements
~1 min read- Successful completion of a Master’s Degree in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing in a recognized APRN specialty (Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, or Nurse Practitioner)
- OR -
- Successful completion of a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant/Associate Studies from an accredited program.
- OR -
- Appropriate equivalent degree and certification.

- Current RN and APRN licensure with the Oregon Board of Nursing.
- Current national certification in the area of specialization.
- Current BLS, ACLS or PALS Certification as indicated for the position

- Current NCCPA Certification.
- Current BLS, ACLS or PALS Certification.
