Location: Long Island , NY (school districts across Nassau and Suffolk County)
Status: Part time Hourly, School calendar with potential for extended school year
Hours: Monday-Friday During School Hours.
Compensation: $25-27/Hour

Responsibilities

→Provide instructional services and support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher
→Help prepare teaching materials and environment to support instruction
→Familiarity with basic behavior intervention strategies and principles
→Participate in maintaining data collection to ensure success of academic and behavioral plans.
→Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with children and staff.
→Possibility of assisting in managing the behaviors of students and crisis intervention .
→Participate in team meetings as appropriate.

Teaching Assistant Certification: Level I, Level II, Level III or Pre-Professional
High School Diploma or equivalent – Associates preferred.
Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum a plus
Bilingual is a plus.
