About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Sign Production & Installation Technician to join our team. In this dual-role position, you will be involved in every stage of the sign-making process—from weeding vinyl and assembling custom signage in the shop to installing completed signs on-site at local businesses.

Key Responsibilities

In-Shop Production:

Prepare substrate materials (corrugated plastic, foam board, acrylic, aluminum, PVC) for sign production.

Print, laminate, weed, and apply vinyl graphics to various surfaces.

Operate sign shop equipment (vinyl plotters, wide-format printers, laminators, hand tools).

Quality-check finished products for accuracy, color matching, and proper dimensions.

Package and prepare signs for delivery or installation.

On-Site Installation:

Safely transport completed signs, tools, and hardware to installation sites.

Install a wide variety of indoor and outdoor signage (dimensional letters, post and panel signs, wall graphics, vehicle wraps, banner stands, etc.).

Operate installation equipment safely, including ladders, power tools, and occasionally scissor lifts.

Perform site measurements and pre-installation inspections.

Maintain a professional, clean work site and interact courteously with clients.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 1+ years in sign production preferred, graphic application, assembly, carpentry, or light construction preferred (will train the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude).

Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic power tools (drills, saws, levels, tape measures). Vinyl application experience is a major plus.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, work on ladders, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
