We are looking for an experienced Lead Residential Plumbing Installer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled plumber who can confidently lead residential installation projects from start to finish while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of residential plumbing projects. As a Lead Installer, you will serve as the primary plumber on assigned jobs, work alongside apprentices and other team members, and ensure installations are completed correctly, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes and company standards.
This is a full-time position with high earning potential, paid on a piece-rate structure with eligibility for commissions on qualified upsells. The role also includes rotating on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead and complete residential plumbing installation projects from start to finish, including water heaters, boilers, re-pipes, water supply lines, drain and sewer systems, gas lines, and related components.
- →Perform high-quality installations, replacements, repairs, and upgrades in residential homes.
- →Lead re-pipes, water heater installations, drain and sewer projects, and other residential plumbing jobs.
- →Read and interpret job scopes, assess installation requirements, and determine the appropriate materials, tools, and techniques needed to complete each project.
- →Measure, cut, thread, fit, assemble, and connect piping using appropriate tools and installation methods.
- →Work proficiently with PEX, copper, PVC, ABS, cast iron, and other common residential plumbing materials.
- →Safely and effectively operate plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, press tools, manometers, testing equipment, and power tools.
- →Inspect completed work, troubleshoot issues, and ensure installations meet company quality standards and applicable plumbing codes.
- →Provide guidance, direction, and hands-on training to apprentices and less-experienced team members.
- →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite throughout each project.
- →Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding the scope of work, installation process, completed work, and recommendations.
- →Identify qualified opportunities to recommend additional plumbing solutions and services to customers.
- →Accurately document work performed, materials used, estimates, recommendations, and other required job details.
- →Collaborate with management, dispatch, apprentices, and other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and customers receive an exceptional experience.
- →Follow all company safety, quality, installation, and customer service standards.
Requirements
~1 min read- 3+ years of residential plumbing installation experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience independently completing residential plumbing installations and repairs.
- Previous experience leading residential plumbing projects or working as a Lead Installer is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, installation methods, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of applicable local plumbing, mechanical, and building codes.
- Journeyman Plumbing License is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading and collaborating with apprentices, team members, customers, and management.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Regularly climbs ladders, navigates uneven surfaces, works in confined spaces, and moves materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools, plumbing equipment, and company vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, communicate, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members.
