We are looking for an ambitious Senior Associate or Associate Director with prior agency experience to join us in London to provide exceptional service to our high-profile clients in the energy and sustainability sectors. The role sits within the firm’s Strategy & Reputation practice group.

YOUR ROLE

Supporting with the day-to-day management of client projects and mandates, acting as the key point of contact for clients.

Proactive media and influencer pitching and handling of opportunities across leading tier one and specialist outlets.

Developing owned content strategies and smart, creative ideas to help clients improve their corporate and executive channels.

Confidently executing first drafts of key materials: client advice notes, briefing notes, Q&A, comms plans and strategies, key messages, media summaries.

Analysing and advising on major sector developments and what they mean for a client’s business.

Horizon-scanning for new business opportunities, contributing to new business proposals and pitches.

Using AI to provide original client insight, stronger visual content and better efficiency in daily account tasks.

Thinking creatively and developing impactful, integrated communications campaigns.

Contributing to the development of FGS Global and embracing the one-firm culture, generating and implementing ideas that advance the firm.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL DEMONSTRATE

Necessary attributes

Skills

Deep interest in business and current affairs and helping leading organisations grow, change, recover or rebuild.

2-5 years of experience at a strategic communications agency, preferably with clients in the energy / climate sectors.

Strong relationships across the spectrum of media including trade, national / international, podcasts and Substacks.

Digital-native mindset and able to confidently use AI platforms to generate insights and complete tasks more efficiently.

Bachelor’s level degree or MBA or equivalent.

Independent, entrepreneurial, creative and proactive.

Strong written skills and ability to confidently produce high-quality written materials for clients e.g. press releases and messaging.

Ability to quickly digest and transform technical detail into accessible and compelling messages.

Strong project and account management skills, able to manage the day-to-day running of a client team effectively.

Proficient in the use of online/digital tools, media/social media analysis and distribution tools; representing insights in clear and visually compelling ways.

Confident with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant AI tools.

PACKAGE AND BENEFITS

Base Salary competitive according to merits of the candidate

Participation in discretionary Company Bonus Scheme (dependent on the performance of the individual and the performance of the company)

Our normal working hours are 8.30am to 6pm. This position may sometimes require working late nights and early mornings, but we do not have a culture of working unnecessary long hours.
