• →Prepares, primes, sands, seals, patches, caulks and paints (roller and brush finish) building surfaces and fixtures utilizing all types of painting materials
• →Tapes, flushes, repairs and applies texturing, and wallpaper. Utilizes enhanced finishing skills when appropriate
• →Performs minor carpentry, sheetrock, wallpaper and tile repairs
• →Applies materials to, existing, and alterations (refurbishments)
• →Graffiti response and removal if needed
• →Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment, including brush, roll, sprayers and pumps, etc. Safely stores and labels all materials
• →Checks work orders, managers’ report and resolves any issues reported
• →Maintains appropriate services and repairs records
• →Supports hotel engineering maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly, and monthly checklist
• →Operates and uses required tools and equipment skilfully and safely
• →Performs heavy physical labor
• →Responsible for any hotel issued keys
• →Escort and monitor any outside vendors that work on the property in all phases of work
• →Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to include: inventories, trash removal and clean up
• →Assist other engineering personnel as instructed by supervisor in regards to routine and preventative maintenance. Willing to learn and support hotel needs in all engineering capacities such as guest room and public space service calls
• →Responds and participates to all building related fire and life safety concerns and must be familiar with all building locations and exits

• High school Diploma, General Education Degree, college degree or trade school preferable
• Experience in commercial, luxury hotel or residential properties from 2 to 5 years. Practices and processes of the painting trade; paints varnishes, wallpaper and related materials
• Knowledge in the maintenance of tools, machinery and equipment; occupational hazards of the painting trade and precautionary measures to be observed
• Be able to work in standing position for long periods of time up to 5 hours and carry 50 to 100lbs
• Ability to work a variety of varying schedule and support when other department members are off
• Ability to communicate well with staff and guest. Must speak, read, and write English
• Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy, follow up, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision.
