The Telecommunications Analyst is responsible for managing and supporting the company's telecommunications operations, including telecommunications billing, inventory management, vendor coordination, reporting, and service administration. This role ensures the accuracy of telecommunications expenses, maintains inventory records for voice and cellular services, supports service installations and changes, and works closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Review, reconcile, and process telecommunications invoices for payment using Microsoft Access and Excel.
- →Create and maintain reports, data analyses, and tracking tools to support telecommunications operations.
- →Coordinate telecommunications service requests, including ordering, installation, upgrades, relocations, and disconnections.
- →Manage and maintain company telecommunications inventories, including voice, cellular, circuit, and line inventories.
- →Investigate billing discrepancies and work with vendors to resolve issues promptly and accurately.
- →Maintain vendor relationships through regular communication regarding accounts, projects, service changes, and contract management.
- →Document and track telecommunications incidents, service requests, and issue resolutions.
- →Coordinate issue escalation with telecommunications vendors and internal IT teams as needed.
- →Maintain telecommunications documentation, including vendor contacts, inventory records, procedures, and service information within SharePoint and related systems.
- →Monitor telecommunications contracts and provide advance notification of upcoming renewals or expirations.
- →Support telecommunications projects and process improvement initiatives.
- →Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
~1 min read- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access or other database management systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Experience with telecommunications, voice services, cellular account management, or IT operations.
- Experience using SharePoint for documentation and records management.
- Experience with Power BI and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with telecommunications and IT industry terminology.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Experience working with vendor management, contract administration, and billing reconciliation.
- Ability to lift and move equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform duties in a professional office environment with occasional physical activity related to telecommunications equipment handling.
