We are hiring an Associate Financial Accountant, Finance! Steps away from the main public transit station What we offer: Highly competitive compensation package which includes, base salary, bonus, benefits, and career advancement opportunities! *Eligibility for benefits is dependent on the terms of employment   The Opportunity     The Associate Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring all assigned accounts are reconciled, review expense transactions, and transforming datasets into Power BI reports.                                                                                                                                                             How you will contribute:     Review of employee expense claims in Continia Expense Management Assist with creating and/or updating interactive Power BI dashboards and reports Assist with system upgrade and testing Manage reconciliations of key general ledger accounts and match all payments to our bank to ensure our accounting stems are kept up to date Perform day to day Accounts Payable transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording purchase invoices in Business Central application Respond to inquiries from vendors and employees and investigate discrepancies in appropriate formats and within reasonable time frames Assist with month end financial statement preparation           Complete special projects as requested by management Adhere to policies/procedures to ensure AML requirements are met, when applicable   The experience you need:   Accounting designation (CPA) is not mandatory but preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office applications focusing on Power BI with good IT knowledge Experience with Python would be an asset Proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong interpersonal and communication skills Able to work with minimum supervision Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines   Working Environment and Physical Demands Analysis:   Office environment Periods of high volume with tight timelines Long periods of stationary position/sitting Prolonged periods of repetitive movement (i.e. using a keyboard and mouse) Long periods of time in viewing a computer screen Multi-tasking may include speaking to customers on a telephone call while looking up information on a computer program.      Why join First National?   Competitive Compensation Comprehensive benefits program (i.e., Health Spending Account, Maternity and Parental Leave Top Up) Extensive training programs to set our employees up for success Modern office environment conducive to collaboration Supportive teamwork culture Opportunities to give back to the communities and work through events focused on a variety of charities Ongoing social events throughout the year   The team you’ll join: Founded in 1988, First National is one of Canada’s largest non-bank lenders.
