A Day in the Life of a Technician
As a Technician, you'll start your day ready to respond to restoration and disaster recovery projects, working as part of a team to help restore homes, businesses, and properties after unexpected events. You'll assist with a variety of project and demolition site activities, following established procedures and using industry-specific tools and equipment to complete work safely and effectively. No two days will look exactly the same, and your work will play an important role in helping customers get back to normal.
Throughout the day, you'll work alongside your teammates to complete assigned tasks, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow First Onsite policies and procedures. You'll use basic computer skills to complete required documentation and communicate project information as needed. You'll also learn and apply proper techniques for operating restoration equipment and tools, building your skills and experience as you work on different types of projects.
Safety will be a priority in everything you do. You'll follow work-safe practices, company safety programs, and applicable legislative requirements while working at restoration and demolition sites. By working together, following procedures, and taking pride in the quality of your work, you'll help deliver dependable restoration services when customers need them most.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with water, fire, and mold mitigation, light demolition, and equipment setup
- Maintain clean, stocked, and response-ready company vehicles
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe job site
- Support project documentation, photos, and daily reports
- Track expenses, time, and complete necessary work orders
- Perform physical labor, debris removal, and material handling
- Provide flexible support across multiple service lines
Experience & Education:
- Possesses or can obtain Water Mitigation Certification within 1 year
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Restoration experience, preferred
- Valid driver's license required
