Job Summary:
Cougar USA is a leading supplier of water control systems for commercial building applications, specializing in Pre-Engineered and Custom-Designed solutions for water pressure, level, temperature, flow, and quality.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tank Assembly Technician to join our Field Service team! This role is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and preparing custom tanks to meet production and quality standards. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality products while ensuring timely and efficient workflows.
Key Job Responsibilities:
· Tank Assembly: Assemble and configure tanks according to detailed production drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
· Component Installation: Install fittings, valves, gauges, and other components onto tanks, ensuring proper placement and functionality.
· Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections and functional tests on assembled tanks to ensure compliance with quality control standards.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, testing results, and inventory usage.
· Material Handling: Safely handle materials and components, including organizing and maintaining workstations and tools.
· Team Collaboration: Work closely with the production and engineering teams to address issues and maintain production schedules.
·Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in assembly processes to maintain quality and efficiency.
· Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or certifications in mechanical assembly or related fields is a plus.
· Training: OSHA-30 Certification required.
· Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is preferred.
· Mechanical Aptitude: Strong ability to understand and follow technical instructions, blueprints, and drawings.
· Technical Skills: Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
· Attention to Detail: Consistently ensures precision and accuracy in assembly and testing processes.
· Time Management: Effectively prioritize and complete tasks to meet production deadlines.
· Problem-Solving: Demonstrates resourcefulness in troubleshooting and resolving assembly challenges.
· Team Collaboration: Works well within a team environment and communicates effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
· Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
Metrics/KPIs:
· On-Time Assembly Completion: Percentage of tanks completed on schedule.
· First-Time Quality Rate: Percentage of tanks passing inspection without rework.
· Safety Compliance: Number of incidents or safety violations.
· Inventory Accuracy: Proper usage and recording of materials in line with production requirements.
