Neutronics Analyst (f/m/d)

The design of a fusion power plant begins with understanding how neutrons produced by the fusion reaction interact with materials throughout the facility. These interactions determine critical factors such as energy deposition, material activation, radiation levels, and overall plant safety. Accurate prediction of these neutron-driven effects is a foundational step that enables all subsequent engineering and design activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced neutronics analyses to generate the key source terms and radiation data required for plant design. Your work will provide the technical basis for safe, compliant, and effective fusion power plant development, making it a critical contributor to the success of the overall engineering program.

  Generate a parametric geometry using pyton

• →

  Run Neutronic analysis

• →

  Analyses result and create source terms for other calculations

• →

  Run activation analysis

• →

  Evaluate radiation doses

• →

  Document everything for traceability and regulatory compliance

• MSc in Engineering or related field, Nuclear Engineering or Physics would be nice to have

• Experience in the nuclear industry

• Experience performing neutronics calculations

• Proficiency in Python

• Experience with OpenMC, MCNP, or Serpent

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communicator and team player

• Adaptable and self-motivated

• Experience in fusion energy

• Experience with inertial fusion energy (IFE)
