Focused Energy is at the forefront of building one of the world’s leading laser fusion companies, devoted to commercializing fusion energy and establishing a globally competitive industrial ecosystem around one of the most transformative technologies of the 21st century.
As fusion evolves from research into large-scale industrial deployment, top-tier design, branding, and communication are foundational differentiators—strengthening our visibility, credibility, stakeholder alignment, and trust.
We are seeking a experienced Designer to play an essential, hands-on role in shaping and elevating our visual identity and brand worldwide.
You will serve as the design lead for our marketing and communication activities, with a focus on:
Developing and evolving our visual identity and corporate branding (CI)
Delivering both conceptual and practical design solutions
Structuring and professionalizing design processes as our organization grows
You’ll work at the intersection of technology, industry, government, and capital markets—designing for audiences including:
Investors and financial institutions
Government bodies and ministries
Industrial and infrastructure partners
Scientific and policy stakeholders
You’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership, Communications, Government Affairs, and Industrial Partnerships. This is a hands-on, workbench-style position where you set creative direction and standards, and personally execute design for key assets.
This is one of our highest-impact hires. We’re looking for someone who:
Leads collaboratively and by example, not authority
Brings structure and clarity to briefing, production, and review processes
Sets a high creative bar while remaining pragmatic and iterative
You will work particularly closely with Kate, mentoring her through feedback and joint projects, and cultivating a strong, respectful team culture. You will act as the day-to-day lead for the marketing/design group, where interpersonal fit and a team-first mindset are critical.
