LAUNDRY LEAD 

Job Summary 

Responsible for leading laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens to ensure all facilities are consistently stocked and guest-ready. This role leads laundry staff to complete work efficiently, safely, and with excellent internal customer service. 


 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

1. Operations & Facility Readiness 

  • Lead daily laundry operations to ensure timely processing of linens for cabins, meeting spaces, and departments  
  • Coordinate linen distribution, inventory levels, and par stock to support guest readiness  
  • Support room turnovers and seasonal transitions through timely linen availability  
  • Monitor and maintain organization of laundry workflow from intake to distribution  

2. Laundry Operations & Equipment 

  • Operate and oversee washing, drying, folding, and sorting of linens and laundry items  
  • Ensure proper use of chemicals, detergents, and equipment  
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility  
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of laundry equipment; report repair needs promptly  

3. Leadership & Team Coordination 

  • Lead and support laundry staff in daily operations  
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor workflow to ensure timely completion  
  • Provide training, guidance, and quality checks on linen standards and processes  
  • Support high-demand turnover days and urgent operational needs  

4. Communication, Safety & Support 

  • Communicate clearly with housekeeping, accommodations, and other departments regarding linen needs and priorities  
  • Report equipment issues, supply needs, and operational concerns through proper channels  
  • Ensure safe work practices, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment  
  • Maintain organized workspaces, inventory areas, and supply rooms  
  • Provide excellent internal customer service to staff and departments  
  • Support staff spiritual life activities and perform other duties as assigned  

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:   

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 1-2+ year experience in housekeeping or Laundry preferred.  
  • Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.
