About the Role
~1 min readThis is more than a CEO role.
It's an opportunity to lead a complex end-to-end business operating across retail, franchise, category, merchandise, customer, supplier and commercial performance.
As CEO, you'll lead the strategic direction and growth of Liquorland, working alongside franchisees, suppliers, industry partners and regulators to strengthen our customer proposition and drive sustainable commercial success.
Success in this role won't come from hierarchy or title. It will come from your ability to build trust, create alignment and lead through influence. You'll bring people together around a shared vision while balancing commercial outcomes with community responsibility.
You’re an accomplished commercial leader with experience operating at scale.
Whether your experience has been gained as a CEO, Managing Director, General Manager or senior enterprise leader, you'll have a proven track record of delivering results, building high-performing teams and leading through complexity.
You're commercially astute, people-focused and think like an owner. You treat every dollar as if it's your own, build strong relationships, and lead through credibility, influence and trust.
You'll bring:
• Proven success in retail, FMCG, liquor, franchise or customer-led businesses.
• Strong commercial and P&L leadership capability.
• Experience across category, merchandise and customer strategy.
• A track record of building productive supplier and strategic partnerships.
• The ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and align diverse groups behind a common goal.
• Courage to challenge convention, make decisions and drive meaningful change.
• A passion for developing high-performing teams and future leaders.
If you're looking for a CEO opportunity with scale, complexity, influence and the chance to leave a lasting mark on a well-loved New Zealand brand, we'd love to hear from you.
