Legal / Senior Counsel

We are looking for a lawyer to join our awesome legal team for 12 months covering maternity leave and are open to either Legal or Senior Legal Counsel candidates.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in one of New Zealand’s largest companies and work in a high-performing and highly regarded in-house legal team in a very supportive and inclusive environment.

You will support the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and other lawyers in managing the legal function of Foodstuffs NI (Foodstuffs) and national Foodstuffs companies.  

With a great attitude, a desire to grow, common sense and a team approach, you’ll be easy to get along with and able to work with a variety of people.  You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, where your passion and drive to make a difference and grow is recognised.   You will be very closely supported by senior leaders in the Foodstuffs Legal Team.

·       A tertiary qualification in Law with at least 2-5 years’ PQE

·       Training from a reputable law firm.

·       Ability to perform under pressure.

·       A flexible and open attitude.

·       A willingness and enthusiasm to learn and contribute.

·       Being a team player with aspirations to develop your leadership.

Previous in-house legal experience (e.g. secondment experience) would be an advantage, but not a necessity for success in the role.
