Responsibilities

→Operate the plant safely and efficiently through the computerized control system.
→Monitor and interpret process data and take appropriate corrective actions within established procedures.
→Ensure assigned equipment is maintained, clean, safe, and in proper working order.
→Conduct routine inspections, identify abnormal operating conditions, and assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
→Support maintenance activities during normal operations and planned shutdowns.
→Follow all company policies and applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
→Develop and maintain expertise in Fortera's proprietary process technology and operating procedures.
→Contribute to process improvements, operating procedure development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
→Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts as required.

Requirements

Experience in manufacturing, production, industrial operations, maintenance, construction, commissioning, utilities, or other hands-on industrial environments is strongly preferred. Equivalent experience demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safe work practices will also be considered.
Knowledge of plant operations, maintenance, and electrical systems is preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to working safely and following company policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and assist co-workers and supervisors as needed.
Must be willing to work rotating Day, Swing, and Graveyard shifts.
Ability to apply common sense and sound judgment when carrying out written and verbal instructions.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
Ability to use respiratory protection equipment.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response) physical examination.
