The Runner is responsible for supporting restaurant operations by delivering dishes accurately and promptly while assisting with table maintenance and overall service flow. This role requires a strong understanding of menu offerings, food preparation, and service standards to ensure guests receive an exceptional dining experience. This position is part of the Food & Beverage team at Florie’s, reporting to Food & Beverage Management.

• →Deliver food to guests accurately, efficiently, and according to established service standards 

• →Ensure tables are properly set and maintained before delivering dishes 

• →Take ownership of ticket times and support smooth coordination between the kitchen and service team 

• →Maintain a strong knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods to confidently describe dishes to guests 

• →Support table maintenance by clearing, resetting, crumbing, and preparing tables throughout service 

• →Polish silverware, stock service stations, and maintain all required mise en place 

• →Communicate effectively with culinary and restaurant teams to ensure seamless service execution 

• →Assist with specialty service setups and restaurant preparation tasks 

• →Prepare specialty coffees when required 

• →Monitor service quality and assist in exceeding guest expectations 

• →Support other Food & Beverage outlets as needed based on business volume 

• →Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout service areas 

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment preferred 

• General food and beverage knowledge 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Professional presentation and service-oriented mindset 

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dining environment 

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team 

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English 

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift 

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors 

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays 

• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required
