I. POSITION OBJECTIVEThis position exists to perform the duties of a Rail Car Loading Operator within the LDPE Department.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY1. Relieve shift properly2. Check silo levels3. Inspect Loading stations4. Inspect Hopper cars for defects5. Operate Locomotive6. Weigh Hopper cars7. Perform minor Hopper car repairs8. Switching knowledge9. Perform Loading Operator Round Inspections10. Perform minor repairs to loading equipment11. Perform magnet and screen inspections12. Maintain log book13. Provide samples to the lab14. Clean work area per THM15. Adhere/Implement/educate/train and adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to, ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, Federal and State laws, regulatory and company requirements16. Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements. Including daily audits.17. Employee is responsible for managing hazardous and non-hazardous wastes as required by State and Federal regulations and in compliance with FPC-TX policies regarding hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.18. Work outside normal shift hours as needed.19. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.20. Perform other duties as assigned.
III. QUALIFICATIONSA. TECHNICAL JOB CRITERIA 1. Previous Related Experience Required1-3 years Rail Car Loading experience preferred, but not required. Valid Drivers’ license required.
2. Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job1. Troubleshooting-Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.2. Reading Comprehension-Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.3. Monitoring-Ability to read gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly.4. Writing-Communicating effectively in writing on work-related documents.5. Speaking-Talking to others to convey information effectively.6. Computer Skills-Ability to use email, excel, and other computer related software need for entering railcar information in the system.
3. EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent required
4. Other Certification/Training Required• Will require training in Company Policies and Procedures after hire.• Current employees must meet all technical and safety training requirements for currentposition, as specified in the Master Training Plan
