About the Role
~1 min readAs a Tracking / Matchmove Artist, you will bridge the gap between live-action footage and 3D space, ensuring all digital elements sit seamlessly within the final frame. Working at the foundation of our visual effects pipeline, you’ll play a pivotal role in accurately reconstructing camera moves, object paths, and environment geometry to set up downstream departments for success in a fast-paced, highly collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities

Create accurate camera and object motion files that flawlessly match original background plate photography.

Build precise 3D geometry for key static objects and environments to recreate the scene layout.
- →
Position camera and object tracks within the 3D scene, validating spatial accuracy against live-action footage.
- →
Render wireframe passes over background plates to rigorously verify track accuracy before handoff.
- →
Partner with Leads, production teams, and downstream VFX departments to ensure CG elements blend seamlessly into every shot.

An educational background in Computer Graphics, Animation or another related course
- →
A strong understanding of the basic principles of computer graphics
- →
Basic knowledge of Maya, 3DE, Linux and a compositing package
- →
Good communication and teamwork skills
- →
The ability to efficiently meet deadlines

A good understanding of photography and the effects of different lenses on perspective
Mel and/or Python scripting skills
