As a Swim Teacher, you will deliver high-quality swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities, helping them build confidence in the water and achieve their individual goals. You will play a key role in creating a safe, supportive and enjoyable learning environment for all participants.

Alongside teaching, you will have the opportunity to undertake lifeguarding duties between lessons and provide support with a variety of administrative tasks, making this a varied and rewarding role within our leisure centre team.

• →Deliver swimming lessons to children and adults in line with the centre's swimming programme, adapting teaching methods to suit varying ages and abilities.
• →Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback to help swimmers achieve their goals.
• →Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and progression through the swim programme.
• →Maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment at all times.
• →Assist with the supervision of customers in and around the swimming pool, ensuring safe practices and adherence to pool rules.
• →Undertake lifeguarding duties as required, supporting the safe operation of the pool.
• →Support the administration team with office-based tasks and general administrative duties.
• →Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent customer experience across the leisure centre.

• Level 2 Swim Teacher Qualification.
• NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work effectively with children and their parents/guardians.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work flexibly to meet operational needs.
• Strong team-oriented approach with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Supportive and positive attitude towards colleagues and organisational objectives.
• Demonstrated passion, enthusiasm and energy for the leisure industry.
• Professional, approachable and customer-focused manner.
• Enhanced DBS check to be carried out.
