→Interprets and evaluates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
→Administers, dispenses, and prescribes drugs and provides treatment within the APN’s scope of practice and consistent with the APN’s skills, training, and competence.
→May administer and dispense controlled substances on a case-by-case consistent with collaborative agreement with Center psychiatrist.
→Provides triage telephone calls and provides consultation.
→Provides counseling and instruction regarding patient problems.
→Completes all clinical documentation in a timely fashion as prescribed in policy and procedure
→Provides monitoring and continuity of care between patient visits.
→Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
→Maintains patient confidentiality.
→When seeing a patient with conditions which are beyond the education, training, competency or scope of practice of the APN, the APN will consult with or refer the patient to the collaborating Physician. All significantly abnormal lab and EKG results will be discussed with the Physician.

Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.

Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds
