Galaxy Digital is looking for a Policy Associate to join our policy team covering digital assets policymaking and legislation for internal and external clients.
This role will be based in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support the Head of Policy in developing regulatory and legislative engagement plans, including advising senior leadership on key policy issues.
- →Monitor, analyze, and interpret regulatory, legislative, and policy developments at the U.S. Federal and State levels; assess their impact to Galaxy, and assist in developing rapid responses to such policy proposals.
- →Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and key stakeholders to advance Galaxy’s policy interests.
- →Represent Galaxy in policy discussions and industry meetings, including participation in trade associations and policy roundtables.
- →Prepare policy briefings, comment letters, testimony, and advocacy materials to communicate Galaxy’s positions to government officials and external stakeholders.
- →Serve as a thought leader on various crypto topics and consult with internal and external clients.
- →Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes.
- →Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to improve productivity, decision-making, and output quality in your day-to-day work.
- 4+ years of professional experience working in financial services policy.
- Advanced degree preferred in public policy, law, business, or a related field.
- Experience working in digital assets in Congress or within a market (SEC, CFTC) and/or prudential (Fed, OCC, FDIC) regulator is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal and state legislative and regulatory processes, particularly as they relate to digital assets and financial services.
- Strong, existing knowledge of digital assets ecosystem and policy issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience.
- Capability to self-direct and drive projects with minimal supervision, effectively managing time and resources to meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes.
